Over 60 girls, ages 13-18, came from McKinney, Frisco, and Plano to attend the 2013 T.O.P. Teen Girls Conference. The motto of the day was “I will rise to the T.O.P.” to go with the Teens Overcoming Pressure conference theme. The girls attended morning sessions with the Real Options and The Turning Point organizations where they learned to overcome pressures in relationships by learning how to say no in certain situations, how to define a healthy relationship, and how to avoid unhealthy relationships. After a delicious lunch, donated by Buffalo Wild Wings and McAlister’s, the girls worked up a sweat in their ZUMBA party! The conference ended with two wonderful guest speakers who spoke to the girls about how they learned to overcome their drug addictions. It was a powerful message that captivated everyone at the conference.
