At the start of summer our Plano Torch Club members took a fun-filled and educational weekend field trip down to Houston, TX. They visited the NASA and Johnson Space Centers in Houston and the Kemah Boardwalk during their stay. During the tour at NASA Space Center, members participated in many hands-on activities that taught them about life in outer-space, including an anti-gravity simulated “space jump”. While at the Johnson Space Center they saw Mission Control and several different rockets. The next day at Kemah Boardwalk they played boardwalk games and rode carnival rides.
